Why start here?

The Six Week Start is your introduction to the most essential techniques, vocabulary and concepts you'll use inside the Fingerstyle Five.
Each week provides just a few short, specific lessons on steady bass technique, blues vocabulary andΒ  learning the fingerboard.

E or A – What's the difference?

If you're about to start a tune in E – say, "Catfish Blues," "Key To The Highway" or "Pony Blues" – choose the Six Week Start in E.
If you're about to start a tune in A – for example, "How Long Blues," or "Sitting On Top Of The World" – choose the Six Week Start In A.
Both paths offer the same steps and techniques, but with individual licks, chord voicings and turnarounds tailored specifically to the key you choose.
