Membership Demo and Q&A

Oct 14, 2019
I'll be hosting a live-online session on Zoom this afternoon at 3pm CST to answer questions about my new membership program. Nearly a hundred people are already signed up for The Fingerstyle Five and working through a dozen preliminary lessons. If you've thought about registering but are still on the fence, I'll spend this Zoom session demonstrating the kind of material we'll be covering and answering any questions you've got about the lessons or the logistics – from what level the arrangements will be to how often you'll get new material to work on, or anything else you want to know about it.

If you missed my video explaining what the membership is about – how it can help you move beyond rote memorization, develop your own arrangements, and build your repertoire and improvisation skills – you can find it here, along with a visible registration link:

And if you're wondering if you've got the Travis picking or steady bass chops to handle the material in the membership, check out this lesson I did a couple weeks back on how to practice and put together a fingerstyle tune:

Finally, those folks who have already joined? Here are a few of the comments they've posted, before we even get to the first month's official material:

"It's David's 'Playing over the changes' method and 'Fingerstyle Blues' approach combined into one. I've always hoped these two roads would intersect somewhere down the line, and here we are. Maybe that's the 'confidential' portion of Fretboard Confidential..." – Mike W.

"I've always thought of improvisation as a free-for-all. Consequently, I never knew where to start, go or finish, and always thought those players that could do that had some kind of secret knowledge. But as you've explained it, I can now relate it to structure and phrasing, just like a chord progression. This might be obvious to most but it's revelatory to me." – Robert M.

"I have watched this clip 3 times already; I think I might go again!" – Steve C.

Registration is still open until tomorrow night, so if you've got questions but can't make the Zoom session, just drop me a line. I'll do my best do clear up anything I can about the membership!

More soon,

David
