Improvisation Workshop

Dec 08, 2020

"Two fings," as the Keith Richards story goes.

First, I'll be offering an online Improvisation Workshop this Saturday, December 12th. It's a two-hour live stream with Q&As, and I'll be covering:

  • Creating solos with elements of blues, swing and jazz
  • Freeing yourself from tab
  • Learning to play with momentum and clarity.

You can read all about it, watch my video description, and register, all at the link below. The workshop includes an advance PDF of the material we'll be covering, and three months' access to the video replay afterwards:

Improvisation: How To Create Great Solos From Scratch

Second, I've got a new video posted on Youtube, the latest installment in my "One Thing" series. Today's lesson is about playing up the neck in A, and you can find it here:

One Thing About...Playing Up The Neck In A

If you don't have the PDF yet, you can can download the tab for the entire Youtube series here:

More soon,

P.S. YES – if you're not free this weekend but still want to sign up for the workshop, you can do that! Just register as if you were going to attend, and watch the replay at your own pace afterwards.
