Guy Van Duser's album Stride Guitar blew my teenaged mind. His "Black Beauty" sent me back to the library to find Duke Ellington, sparking a lifelong affair with jazz. Find that record if you can; in the meantime, here are a couple of tracks from it, along with a classic Jerry Reed ensemble recording of "The Claw." Van Duser is still, to me, the funkiest nylon string player, but I'm happy to discover more, and to add to this playlist if anyone's got recommendations.
